OF A MIDNIGHT MEETING

WRITTEN BY Katie McCann

DIRECTED BY Jeda de Brí

It's 1926. In the wake of The Great War and the Spanish Flu pandemic, Scientific American runs a high-stakes international contest seeking objective proof that ghosts are real. Acclaimed Medium, Hester O’Brien is determined to be the magazine's first winner, while investigator Nathaniel Harker, sceptical of her claims, is determined to expose her. As the two battle it out, faith and science clash, secrets are revealed and painful truths uncovered.

Of A Midnight Meeting is a new supernatural thriller by writer Katie McCann (Cirque des Rêves) and acclaimed director Jeda de Brí (TRYST) that explores the exploitation of grief and asks what really haunts us?

Reviews for Of A Midnight Meeting

"Deliciously clever... Under de Bri’s assured direction, Of A Midnight Meeting envisions Halloween not just as a time of horror, but as a time of costume, as fun, as a little bit over the top. With a gentle scare or two thrown in for good measure. Making of A Midnight Meeting wickedly good fun." - The Arts Review.

"Katie McCann's new play is a first class piece of lunch time theatre..." - The Mail on Sunday

... this well acted Agatha Christie like production ‘Of a Midnight Meeting’ with its marvellous set was a very cosy way to spend 50 minutes on a rainy day." - The Reviews Hub.

"McCann’s script is assured and the revelations which emerge are cleverly introduced. This is a production of a short, well-crafted play in traditional form. It is executed with skill and creates the atmosphere of a time past." - No More Workhorse
